SUSTAINABILITY IS NOT JUST A LOGO

During the event SMAU 2020 FLANAT Research has talked about its experiences on the sustainable development in agri-food and health supply chain.
The presentation was given at the “Nutrition and Personalized Medicine Working Table” held by TAV Cluster (Lombardy Cluster for Living Environments Technologies).

FLANAT’s primary objective is to recover agricultural or processing waste to research active plant ingredients for the production of functional foods and food supplements. Our vision of sustainability is also focused to the territory and the cultivation practice aimed at reducing the impact of pesticides and herbicides. Lombardy agriculture support started with FOOD NET and continues with sPATIALS³ and BRIEF projects by proposing alternative crops with low environmental impact.

We are really proud the sPatials³ project has been awarded with SMAU 2020 INNOVATION prize in Agri-food and Health. The ongoing project is a partnership between the National Research Council (CNR), Ecozinder SpA, Corapak SpA and MirtillaBio.
